The Making of NFL Blitz - Promo Video
« on: May 21, 2017, 06:38:40 PM »
Came across this video today and thought I'd share it with you guys. It's a pretty cool promo video for the original Blitz that gives you some insight on what went in to making the game. Some highlights include seeing meetings the team had where they discussed game mechanics, the software they used to make the game, meetings with developers for the N64 port on how to shrink it down onto a cart, the workflow the team had to meet their deadline and my personal favorite, Sal Divita in a mocap suit recording motion capture for the game. If you look closely you can see which animations he recorded that made it into the game. Midway was really ahead of their time with the way they made games back then, a lot of studios these days have this same process they follow to meet their deadlines. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this. :)
