Hey jaker,
Good to see you again. Thanks for responding. The forum seems kinda dead these days but maybe we can change that. I don't blame you for not knowing about Arena Football Unleashed either, it's a pretty obscure Midway game. I actually found it by accident a few years ago while watching Blitz videos on YouTube.
As far as I can tell its built off of Blitz 2000 for PS1. It doesn't have the mini games 2001 had but it does have the features 2000 added like the play editor, electricity mode in place of on-fire mode and 4 player multiplayer. Not sure if you're familiar with modifying data for the PS1 versions of Blitz or not but I bet that would be a good place to start since the data is probably laid out the same way in those games as it is in AFU.
Also, for automating rosters one thing you could try is to pull data from a website and import it into the roster editor you made. Maybe you could have an extra button in the GUI for that in a later update. I figure the NFL's got a website for player stats and info somewhere but I haven't seen it myself. You could have the editor search in a website like that for player data and convert it to values to insert into the roster of the rom that's loaded in the editor. Not sure how much work that would be to do or how feasible it is but it might be one way to go about automating the process.
