I've looked all around the internet, and have found no ROM hacks for any NFL Blitz game on any platform. What's up with that!!? Having updated rosters is a great idea, I'd love to play Blitz 2000 with Colin Kaepernick RGIII, Andrew Luck and a lot of the other great mobile QB's/Receivers in the league today. Blitz 2000 is I believe the best to make a hack like this from. For it had the greatest feel and awesome and intense music to go with it. It doesn't seem like a hard job, and I'd do it myself if I knew how. Anyways that's just my opinion on it.

Blitz 2000 is for sure the best year for a ROM hack :)
I'm currently working on a Roster editor. I've been successful at changing the roster of a whole team. My plan is to have the editor released before this years super bowl. I'm using an N64 ROM right now, I'd like to expand to dreamcast and arcade roms also.
Other goals:
Edit team ratings
Adding Texans as a playable team
Enabling two player co-op season mode
I'll be posting an official post hopefully before the new years... Glad to see there is interest in this project and it hasn't even been advertised yet haha.

If you could do this, you would be my hero! I am addicted to blitz 2000 for n64. I've been looking everywhere, and I could not find any hacking tools. I have no concept of hex editing either or I would have done that a while ago.
I mod nhl 94 with editors, I'm pretty sure if you needed help you could go over to their website. (http://forum.nhl94.com/)

Hey StillerNation, thanks for the link. Yeah I already have half the tool made to change the player #, skin color and name. I'm sure I'll need to reach out to others at one point to get help with finding where the team stats are located so those can be edited.

Just an update, still working on it. I have found a way to change out dreamcast and PC graphics. I will be announcing the cover player soon also ;)

Jaker, what are program are you using to change the texture graphics? I would love to help update a roster for the NFL BLITZ PC version. Let me know. Thank you.

Sorry about taking over a week to get back to you, I've been a little busy. I convert the texture graphics to pngs, edit them in Photoshop and then convert them back into their original texture file. I'll try and see if I can work on a tutorial for it this weekend.

Oh, were you able to change some of the uniforms that were outdated?

I'll be posting a tutorial on how to edit them and hopefully someone with better skills then me can do it haha. I have been working on editing a few screens thought to include the cover athlete.

I have not looked into it but I plan on it at some point. At the very least I will add support to edit the roster.

That would be good because the PSX version is the only one you can convert to portables like the PSP without glitches.

I'm so pumped, I just figured out how to change team stats (defense, special teams, ect..)! So expect that to be added soon to the roster editor soon also.

OMG Yes! That's great news! Just base the attribute changes by last years stats and you should be good. :)
